
If there’s one thing we have an abundance of, its walking and hiking routes. Discover a range of local walks, of various abilities, in and around Lochgoilhead (most locals can direct you or you can purchase a guide from the Post Office).

Sruth Ban / Lettermay Falls and onto Curra Lochain - from Drimsynie walk in the direction of Carrick Castle, then turn right up the track by the purple house. Then go first left, then right up to Lettermay and follow the track up. Curra Lochain is above the falls, a short walk across open land

Further away is the magical, atmospheric Pucks Glen Trail, a fairy glen named after Puck from a Midsummer’s Night Dream

Scotland’s most diverse long distance footpath The Cowal Way, passes through some of the most beautiful and varied landscape in the Highlands and partly runs through Lochgoilhead. It is one of Scotland’s Great Trails and can be enjoyed in full or in part.
